It’s going to be a great New Year!
2016 for Hulse Hill Farm was a year of growth and adventure! We had little time to sit back and reflect how darn lucky we were with the addition of a tiny house, 5 new goat kids, 10 new chickens, wildflower pastures, and a full B&B . January can be a brute of a month, working with cold finger tips , fretting over whether they’ll be enough hay, and endless shoveling. January is the time where farms are thinking about the planting and breeding seasons to come. Reviewing expenses, animal health, and land management use, are just a small piece that goes into the vision for the farm yearly. Hulse Hill farm’s vision for the new year in 2017 includes :
- Our guest and all visitors enjoying the “give back” of the farm , spiritually & physically
- Producing as many farm fresh foods as possible on the property, and supporting other local farms
- Maintaining and pursuing the best health and stock of animals for their god given purpose on the farm
- Never losing site of of the gifts all around us everyday, everywhere.
All human situations have their inconveniences. We feel those of the present but neither see nor feel those of the future; and hence we often make troublesome changes without amendment, and frequently for the worse.”— Benjamin Franklin
